After the most in-dept oyster experience we’ve had, now we know where to look for the fresh and juicy oyster. Yea! The largest and freshest selection of imported seafood in Malaysia! Southern Rock Seafood in Bangsar.
Kick-off the night with the cold freshly Bloodly Mary Oyster Shot! Oyster with lemon, paired with the shot. The oyster mix with the shot was a good combination. Surprisingly it maintains the gooey of the mussel.
Next up was the Oysters set, it combined with Coffin Bay from Australia (small), Fine De Claire from France (medium) and Gallagher Special from Ireland big. The taste was fantastic! It was freshly shucked, the texture was like jelly and smooth, but with no tooth resistance at all! We love the mushy, subtle sweetness and the mild brininess! Our tongue encountered the soft, creamy and firm texture.
Other than oysters, there are other selections of seafood. Not forgetting one of their best sellers – Mussels! We ordered Legendary Mussel Laksa, Mussel with Tomato Broth and Mussel Meuniere. My favourite was Mussel Laksa. The broth and gravy was aromatic and rich in spices. The flavours were nicely blended into the mussel. Its wonderful in taste and aroma.
Nothing beats fresh fish and It served in whole! The Bertha Baked Lemon Sole, Grilled Seabass and Bertha Baked Rainbow Trout was awesome. It was grilled perfectly, we can taste the freshness and the juiciness of all the fish!
Last but not least, we ended the dinner with the sweet treats! Salted Caramel Fudge Brownie & Madagascar Vanilla Ice Cream. These best-ever brownies are filled with oozy, sweet salted caramel. The texture was smooth and rich.
