CHIQUI DON@Damansara Heights
We finally had the opportunity to dine again with CHIQUI DON and we had an amazing time! For those who are new, CHIQUI DON is a restaurant & bar that serves a variety of Asian and Western dishes with a creative twist. It is strategically located in Damansara Heights, a perfect spot for those looking to unwind from a hectic work week.
During our recent visit, we enjoyed the Garlic Chili Tiger Prawns as appetiser. Served with 2 slices of garlic bread, the dish was flavourful and very garlic-y. For those who don’t take spicy, don’t worry! The dried chili serves to elevate the flavour of the dish and only offers a hint of spiciness.
For mains, we had the must-have claypot mutton biryani and the seafood trio. We highly recommend the claypot mutton biryani to our readers! It is one of our favourite spots in KL for a good bowl of mutton biryani. The rice is fluffy, flavourful, and well spiced while the mutton is tender and tasty. The dish is further enhanced when complemented with the refreshing raita (yoghurt sauce).
While the seafood trio was great, there’s really nothing to rave about. The seafood was fresh and the vongole sauce paired well. If ordering this dish, be sure to squeeze the lemon wedge over as it really enhances and elevates the flavour of the dish.
To end our night on a sweet note was the sizzling chocolate fondant. This is probably the only time we’ll ever find ourselves enjoying fondant. The gooeyness of the melted chocolate fondant is simply heavenly!
Also worth noting is that CHIQUI DON also serves a great variety of wonderful cocktails. Diners can even have a go at crafting their very own cocktails by simply selecting the preferred alcohol and flavour profiles. Or if you are adventurous like us, just ask the bartender for a surprise!
